Parent Support Program
When the data is collected after each grading period, students who have a grade point average of less than 2.0 are identified. Our ELD guidance secretary and our adult instructional aides contact the students' parents and guardians to advise them on ways that they can support their students at home. Using ideas from a variety of sources and their own experience, along with suggestions from teachers, they are able to encourage the parents in practical, individualized ways to help their students be more successful in school. Calls are made weekly to check on student and parent progress.
